A sudden high fever is one of dengue’s most common early signs. If fever appears with unusual tiredness, headache or body pain, pay attention instead of assuming it’s just a viral infection.
A severe headache, especially with pain or pressure behind the eyes, can occur with dengue. If it appears alongside fever and body aches, it’s worth getting checked.
Dengue is often called “breakbone fever” for a reason. Strong muscle, joint, or bone pain along with fever can be a warning sign that shouldn’t be ignored.
Feeling nauseous, vomiting or losing your appetite can happen with dengue. When these symptoms show up with fever, weakness or pain, consider medical evaluation.
A skin rash, unusual weakness, bleeding gums or nosebleeds can signal a more serious situation. Don’t self-medicate. Seek medical advice promptly, especially if symptoms worsen.
